Goochland County Board of Supervisors Will Consider Motions to Defer Three Cases at Dec 3rd Meeting

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Goochland County Board of Supervisors will consider motions to defer the following three cases to dates noted, at its December 3, 2019, 3 PM meeting.

District 4 RZ-2019-00008   Application by Towne & Country Partners LLC and James River Leasing Corporation requesting zoning reclassification of 39.058 acres from B-1 (Business, General) with proffers and R-1 (Residential, Limited) with proffers to MPUD (Mixed Planned Unit Development) with proffers and B-1 (Business, General) with proffers to develop Manakin Towne as a mixed used development including retail, offices, and up to 245 residential units on Tax Map No. 47-1-0-42-0 and portions of Tax Map Nos. 47-1-0-41-0, 47-1-0-41-A, 47-1-0-41-A1, and 47-1-0-41-C.  The property is located at 68 Broad Street Road.  The 2035 Comprehensive Plan designates this area as Commercial and Centerville Village Core. – Application will be deferred to a Special Meeting to be held on Wednesday, December 18, 6:00 PM in the County Administration Building, Board Meeting Room 250, 1800 Sandy Hook Road, Goochland.


District 4 CU-2019-00012   Application by Towne & Country Partners LLC and James River Leasing Corporation requesting a Conditional Use Permit for a Master Plan for a mixed use development with up to 245 dwellings and retail and office uses on Tax Map No. 47-1-0-42-0 and portions of Tax Map Nos. 47-1-0-41-0, 47-1-0-41-A, 47-1-0-41-A1, and 47-1-0-41-C.  The applicant also requests two (2) special exceptions to Article 14, Section 10.  The applicant requests a special exception to the residential setback of 500 feet from an arterial road and a special exception to the density limit of six (6) units per acre.  The property is currently zoned B-1 (Business, General) with proffers, and R-1 (Residential, Limited) with proffers and consists of 39.058 acres.  The property is proposed to be rezoned MPUD (Mixed Planned Unit Development and B-1).  The Conditional Use Permit is required by Article 14, Section 5, and the special exceptions are requested under Article 14, Section 6, of the Goochland County Zoning Ordinance.  The Comprehensive Plan designates this area as Commercial and Centerville Village Core. - – Application will be deferred to a Special Meeting to be held on Wednesday, December 18, 6:00 PM in the County Administration Building, Board Meeting Room 250, 1800 Sandy Hook Road, Goochland.


 Public Hearing for Through Truck Restriction for Davis Mill Road Between Hadensville-Fife Road and River Road West – The Board of Supervisors took action at its November 26, 3:00 PM Meeting to defer this item to its March 3, 2020 Meeting.
