RAILROAD CROSSING WORK TO CLOSE CARTERSVILLE ROAD DAILY IN GOOCHLAND COUNTY

VDOT Highway Alert

Due to CSX railroad crossing work, Cartersville Road (Route 45) in Goochland County will be closed near the James River on Wednesday, August 22 and Thursday, August 23 from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. The road will reopen each day for overnight travel.????

Drivers can use the posted detour during the daytime closures:

  • Northbound Cartersville Rd. (Rt. 45): Take Columbia Rd. (Rt.690) north to River Rd. (Rt. 6) east back to Cartersville Rd.

Goochland County Animal Protection - Temporary Shelter Relocation - July 2 2018

On Monday, July 2nd the Goochland County Animal Shelter will temporarily relocate to the County’s Central High School Cultural and Educational Complex located at 2748 Dogtown Road, Goochland, VA 23063.

VDOT Bridge Repairs To Close Vontay Road Over Turkey Creek In Hanover
