Central High School Cultural and Educational Complex (CHS)
The Central High School Cultural and Educational Complex is a 23-acre indoor/outdoor facility. CHS includes a renovated and restored multi-use 170-seat performance area/theatre, Central High museum space, (5) programming spaces, conference rooms, Parks and Recreation administrative space, and exhibits that highlight the history of the building. CHS also features an athletic and event center that includes a full-size hardwood basketball court, a large classroom, a warming kitchen, and a PA system. A high-quality carpet gym floor covering and tables and chairs enable the space to accommodate large-scale events. The Complex hosts Parks and Recreation's programming for youth and seniors.
Central High also includes Goochland County’s Agricultural Center, featuring office and programming space for the Virginia Cooperative Extension and Monacan Soil and Water.
Outdoor amenities include a walking track and lighted multi-use athletic space.
