  1. Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) Meeting - Funding the Right Transportation Projects

    Individuals are invited to share comments on transportation projects that are being considered for the FY2019-2024 Six-Year Improvement Program (SYIP). The Commonwealth Transportation Board will take the comments into consideration as it develops the FY2019-2024 SYIP. The program allocates public funds to highway, road, bridge, rail, bicycle, pedestrian and public transportation projects. All federally eligible projects in the SYIP will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to document how Virginia will obligate its federal funds. The regional public hearing for the Richmond District will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Colonial Heights.     On April 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Goochland County Sheriff's Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to West Creek Emergency Center at 12720 Tuckahoe Creek Parkway, Henrico, VA 23238 or Fire-Rescue Company 5 at 2710 Fairground Rd., Goochland, VA 23063. The DEA cannot accept liquids, needles, or sharps, only pills or patches. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
