Due to an outage with Virginia's technology provider multiple Commonwealth agencies are experiencing outages including Virginia DMV and Virginia Department of Elections, impacting Goochland's DMV Select and Office of the General Registrar.

The outage affects Virginia Department of Motor Vehicle's (Virginia DMV) website, Customer Service Centers, and DMV Selects leaving them unable to handle transactions until service is restored.

The outage has also affected
Virginia Department of Elections
voter registration system and citizen portal along with local registrar’s offices across the Commonwealth.
Any voter planning to vote in-person absentee early voting in Goochland while the system is down can not be checked in on the poll books and will only be able to vote using a provisional ballot.  Individuals are still able to register to vote by filling out a Virginia Voter Registration Application paper application at the Office of the General Registrar or mailing a Virginia Voter Registration Application paper application to the Office of the General Registrar as long as it is postmarked by today, October 13th.
