[ARCHIVED] Goochland to Review Redistricting Public Input & Consider Changes to the Redistricting Map on Feb 22

Goochland County Redistricting Public Input and Map Requests Review - February 22nd

Goochland County’s Redistricting Team will review Public Input received on the Proposed Redistricting Map and Requests for Changes to the Map with the Goochland County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, February 22nd at 6:00 p.m.

After the presentation, the Board of Supervisors will be asked to consider two revisions to the Proposed Redistricting Map and to set a public hearing on the Redistricting Map for March 15, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.

The two revisions under consideration include:

The request to split Precinct 402 to create a 3rd Precinct in District 4 was made in anticipation of future growth in the precinct and to alleviate confusion and misdirection from a change later in the process.  The request to revise the boundary between Districts 1 and 2 was made to avoid using Cartersville Road as a boundary between District 1 and 2 and instead use River Road West.  Goochland County Redistricting - Request to Create a Proposed Precinct 403
