The Courthouse Village Community Meeting will occur on Wednesday, June 8th at 7 p.m. in the Goochland County Administration Building Board Room located at 1800 Sandy Hook Rd., Goochland, VA 23063.
The Centerville Village Community Meeting will occur on Thursday, June 9th at 7 p.m. at Grace Chinese Baptist Church located at 850 Broad Street Rd., Manakin-Sabot, VA 23103.
The Community Meetings will include a concise presentation of findings and initial concepts for each village which will provide live interactive polling of attendees. Following the presentation, attendees can visit topic-tables to share comments and pose questions related to the plan.
In advance of the June Community Meetings, we need input from the Goochland community. Please complete surveys at www.goochlandva.us/villageplans2022 to help plan the Courthouse Village and Centerville Village futures. In addition, encourage your friends and neighbors to complete the surveys.
The community meetings and surveys are part of a months-long process that kicked-off in February 2022 to create small area plans for each of the County’s major villages. The planning process for both villages aim to ensure that Goochland County elected officials’ decisions relate to and are made in accordance with the desires of the community. The village plans will provide guidance for land use, economic and physical growth, recreation, public facilities, and community development. Once complete, these plans will be adopted and incorporated into the County’s Comprehensive plan.
