JROTC Cadets Continue to Give Back at Tire Amnesty and Document Shredding Event

Goochland High School’s JROTC program focuses on teaching students’ leadership skills while reinforcing what it takes to be a good citizen. Once again, the cadets will be assisting with the Goochland County Tire Amnesty and Document Shredding event, scheduled for November 16^th. Read more.

Military Tribute Banner Program

Goochland County announced the launch of the Goochland Veterans Military Tribute Banner Program on November 11, 2024. This initiative is designed to honor local Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, Reserve, and National Guard members, and offers an opportunity for residents to commemorate the brave men and women who have served in the United States military. County Office Thanksgiving Closures

Goochland County Offices and Goochland County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will be closed from 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27th through Friday, November 29th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The Goochland County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will be open normal hours (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) on Saturday, November 30th.

Goochland County Parks & Recreation facilities will be closed from 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27th through December 1st. All Parks & Recreation facilities will re-open at regular business hours on Monday, December 2nd.

Goochland County Convenience Centers will ONLY be closed on Thursday, November 28th.

Goochland customers with CVWMA Red Friday pick up, will be moved to Saturday, November 30th.
