Goochland County Economic Development Launches Two New Programs to Support Local Businesses

Board of Supervisors and School Board Members Joint Work Session

VDOT Contractor to Begin Work on Old Fredericksburg Road Bridge Over I-64

A Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) contractor will begin work on the Rte. 629, Old Fredericksburg Road, bridge over I-64 starting on Monday, December 16th. This work is set to occur each day between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and will be completed using a flagging operation. Work is expected to be completed by mid-January. Read more.

Fitch Affirms Goochland's 'AAA' Credit Rating

Fitch Affirms Goochland 'AAA' Credit Rating

On Tuesday, November 19^th, 2024, Fitch Ratings announced that it has affirmed Goochland’s Issuer Default Rating and general obligation bond rating at ‘AAA’. The number associated with Goochland County’s Model Implied Rating is 10.99, which is at the upper end of the range for the ‘AAA’ rating. Read more.

Goochland County Office Closures for Christmas Holiday

Goochland County Offices, Convenience Centers, and Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will be closed Tuesday, December 24th and Wednesday, December 25th for the Christmas holiday. Parks & Recreation facilities will be closed starting on Monday, December 23rd at 5:00pm. All offices & facilities will reopen at normal business hours on Thursday, December 26th. Read more.
