Historic Map Viewer Now Available

Railroad Work to Temporarily Close Railroad Crossings in Goochland Between April 7 – 25, 2025

Representatives of CSX Transportation have informed Goochland County that they will be having a surfacing team working on railroad maintenance starting in Henrico County on April 7, 2025, working through Goochland County towards Fluvanna County ending on April 25, 2025. This work will require a total closure of select railroad crossings, a total closure means no traffic will be allowed across the track until the work is complete. Read more.

Strickland Manufacturing Expansion Announced By Governor’s Office

Goochland County Economic Development is excited to highlight Governor Youngkin’s announcement of Strickland Manufacturing’s expansion in Goochland County on Thursday, March 6th. Strickland Manufacturing will invest over $3 million to build a new office and warehouse, creating 20 new jobs. Goochland County is Strickland Manufacturing’s United States headquarters, with the company based in Northern Ireland, and currently has 45 employees. Read more.
