Goochland County Department of Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services has been nationally recognized by the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline® EMS Gold achievement award for its commitment to quality care for heart attacks and strokes in Central Virginia. Read more.

Cool Care Assistance Program Available for Area Seniors

Dominion Energy has teamed up with The Span Center to provide FREE box fans or AC Units to eligible area seniors! The Cool Care Assistance Program runs from May 1 to October 31. Click here for more information about the Cool Care Assistance Program.

Treasurer’s Office Recognized for Achieving Accreditation

The Goochland County Treasurer’s office received its accreditation from the Treasurers’ Association of Virginia (TAV) on June 24, 2025. The Office Accreditation program is a voluntary professional certificate program overseen by the Treasurers’ Association of Virginia. Seventy-four treasurer’s offices received accreditation this year. This marks the tenth consecutive year that the Treasurer’s office has received accreditation. Read more.

County Offices & Convenience Centers Closed for Independence Day

County Offices and Convenience Centers will be Closed on Friday, July 4th

Goochland County Offices, Parks & Recreation facilities, and Convenience Centers will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of the Fourth of July Independence Day holiday. There will be no summer camp or programming on Friday, July 4th.
