Board of Supervisors Vote to Approve Technology Overlay District as Amended

County Offices to be Closed for Veterans Day

County Offices, Goochland County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, and Goochland County Parks & Recreation facilities will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.

Please note the following exceptions to the closures

Goochland County Parks & Recreation will only be open for RECZone. No other evening programs will be held.
Goochland County Convenience Centers will be OPEN normal hours (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)

Tire Amnesty & Document Shredding Event Scheduled for November 15, 2025

Tire Amnesty and Document Shredding

Join Goochland County for a Special Tire Amnesty and Document Shredding Event on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fairground Property located at 2744 Fairground Road at the intersection of Sandy Hook Road (Route 522) and Fairground Road (Route 632). Read more.

Tucker Turkey Trot 2 Miler

The Tucker Turkey Trot 2 Miler is a fun and festive community event held at Tucker Park on Saturday, November 15th, 2025. This 2-mile race features a scenic course through lush green fields and tree-lined paths, perfect for runners and walkers of all ages. Join the spirited celebration with a playful turkey mascot leading the way, and enjoy a day of exercise, camaraderie, and Thanksgiving cheer. Read more.
