Goochland County Receives 2025 Top Project Honors from Virginia Economic Developers Association

The Virginia Economic Developers Association has announced the recipients of their 2025 Top Project Awards. Goochland County was recognized with the Top Project - Community Impact award for the Eli Lilly Manufacturing Facility. Read more.

Martin Dean Appointed to Planning Commission

Martin Dean Appointed to Serve on Planning Commission

On Thursday, November 6th, the Goochland County Board of Supervisors appointed Martin Dean to the Planning Commission representing District 5. This seat was previously held by Dwain Cosby from April 4, 2024, to October 16, 2025. Read more.

Nora Amos Named Director of Economic Development

Goochland County is pleased to announce Nora Amos as the new Director of Economic Development. Amos succeeds Sara Worley, who accepted the role of Deputy County Administrator of Community & Economic Development in Goochland earlier this year.  Read More.

Local Emergency Planning Committee Meeting

Application Period Open for 2026 Military Tribute Banner Program

Goochland County is proud to have honored sixty-three veterans in its first year of the Veterans Military Tribute Banner Program.

Applications for the 2026 program will be accepted through March 1, 2026. Due to limited space, if an honoree has already been recognized in this program, families are asked to wait to resubmit their honoree until after the March 1 deadline. This program is free to veterans’ families. Read more.

Goochland County is proud to recognize their employees for their exceptional dedication and commitment to the community.

On Tuesday, December 2nd, forty employees were recognized for their combined 370 years of service. These individuals play a vital role in providing high quality core services to Goochland residents. Read more.
