County Offices Closed for New Year's Day

County Offices & Convenience Centers Closed for New Year's Day

Goochland County Offices, Convenience Centers, Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, and Parks and Recreation facilities will be CLOSED on Thursday, January 1st. All offices & facilities will reopen with normal business hours on Friday, January 2nd.

Goochland County Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed starting at 5:00PM on Wednesday, December 31st.

The Goochland Branch Library will be closed starting at 3:00PM on Wednesday, December 31st.

Christmas Tree Disposal Available at Goochland County’s Convenience Centers

Christmas Tree Disposal Available at Convenience Centers

Goochland County residents can dispose of their Christmas trees free of charge at Goochland County’s Convenience Centers through January 31st, 2026. All decorations, lights, tinsel, and ornaments should be removed from the trees. Goochland County’s Convenience Centers are normally open Monday through Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except for County holidays or other announced closures. Read more.

Generous Donation and Community Support Help Save Dog's Life

Goochland County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is incredibly thankful to a former Goochland resident for their recent donation in honor of the beloved family dog. One notable beneficiary of this donation is Noel, a dog that was hit by a car and required urgent back surgery. Read more.
