Parks and Recreation Master Plan

Project Purpose

The Goochland County Parks and Recreation Master Plan is a roadmap to shape the future of our parks, facilities, and programs. Designed to reflect the needs and aspirations of our community, the plan will guide decision-making, prioritize investments, and ensure our services evolve with the needs of residents. Your input is vital to identifying priorities and creating a shared vision for vibrant, accessible, and inclusive parks and recreation opportunities.

March 18, 2025: The second Community Connect Event gathered further feedback and provided updates on the project’s progress. Goochland Parks and Rec Project Update Presentation 3.18.25

April–June 2025: A statistically valid survey was mailed to a randomized selection of residents to capture diverse perspectives on park and recreation needs.
