Sec. 7-71. of the Goochland County Code "Disposal at county-owned facilities"
(a)
Only county residents may use county-owned waste facilities. Persons using a county-owned waste facility may be asked to present evidence of their residency in the county.
(b)
It shall be unlawful to dispose of refuse from outside the county at county-owned waste facilities.
(c)
It shall be unlawful for any person to use a county-owned waste facility except in compliance with this Code, any applicable rules and regulations, and any instructions or directions from the attendant(s) of the facility.
(d)
The fees for disposal are stated in the county's fee schedule adopted as an appendix [C] to this Code.
(e)
The following items shall not be disposed of at a county-owned facility: stumps, hazardous waste, asbestos, industrial wastes, ash sludge, solvents, slurry, oil, contaminated soils, pesticide containers, drums, and tanks.
(f)
A private citizen may not dispose of any dead animal, fowl, fish, reptile, or any parts thereof at a county-owned facility.
(g)
All refuse and waste deposited in a county-owned facility shall become the property of the county. It shall be unlawful for any person to scavenge or remove any refuse or waste from a county-owned waste facility unless authorized to do so in writing by county personnel.

Tire Amnesty There will be a 10-tire limit. Participants must show proof of Goochland County residency. Only clean off rim AG/Tractor, Truck, Auto, and ATV/UTV tires accepted.
Document Shredding Secure document shredding is available for up to five bankers boxes (no larger than 12” x 24”) per person. Must show proof of Goochland County residency. Paper clips and staples do not have to be removed, but plastic binding must be removed.
