    Greets all guest to the Animal Shelter and determines their service needs.

    Introduces guests to animals housed in the Adoption area of the shelter.
35. Dog Ambassador
    Assists staff by walking dogs while kennels are cleaned and disinfected.
37. Cat Ambassador
    Assists staff by interacting with cats while cages are cleaned and disinfected.
39. Donation Ambassador
    Sorts donated items and places them in designated storage locations.

    Baths and grooms animals at the Animal Shelter.

    1. The Goochland Animal Shelter is a municipal pound. All stray animals confined by Animal Protection in Goochland County are housed at this facility. This means that animals regardless of age, health, or temperament are housed at this facility. Because of this, we occasionally must euthanize animals who do not meet our health or temperament requirements. Please let us know if you have any questions about this policy. 2. The Goochland County Animal Shelter is committed to positive and enduring community relationships. All staff and volunteers are expected to uphold that commitment. By completing this application you are indicating that you understand and will conduct yourself accordingly. 3. The Goochland Animal Shelter is a smoke free environment. No cigarette smoking will be allowed on the property, either indoors or outdoors.
