[ARCHIVED] Leakes Mill Park Joins the Virginia Bird & Wildlife Trail

Goochland County proudly announces the inclusion of Leakes Mill Park in the Virginia Bird & Wildlife Trail.

Located at 3951 River Road West, Goochland, VA 23063, Leakes Mill Park sprawls across 175 acres, offering a picturesque landscape for nature enthusiasts. The park boasts three fully irrigated multi-use Bermuda athletic fields, a restroom facility, picnic shelters, playground, and 9 miles of mountain bike trails.

The Virginia Bird & Wildlife Trail is a network of 65 trail loops, each with multiple viewing stops along the way. Leakes Mill Park joins the Green Springs Loop, which includes 11 sites in the Central Virginia area. Notable sightings include Red-Tailed Hawks, Red-Bellied Woodpeckers, and Carolina Wrens, among others.
