Goochland County is proud to announce the launch of the Goochland Veterans Military Tribute Banner Program. This new initiative is designed to honor local Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, Reserve, and National Guard members. This unique program offers an opportunity for residents to commemorate the brave men and women who have served in the United States military.

The honorees in this program will be featured on a beautiful full-color banner with a patriotic design, the honoree's photo and military details, and the family name of the individual being honored. These banners will serve as a tribute to our community’s veterans, offering residents an opportunity to say “Thank You” to those who have given so much for our country.

Banners will be displayed along River Road West and 522 (Sandy Hook Road) from Memorial Day through Veterans Day 2025. This program is free to veterans’ families.

Due to limited space, residents are encouraged to submit their request as soon as possible to ensure their veteran’s spot in the program. The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2025. After the display period concludes, each banner will be given to the sponsoring family as a keepsake.
