[ARCHIVED] Fuel Up in Goochland Ahead of Thanksgiving Travel

Fuel up in Goochland FALL

As residents across the Commonwealth prepare for Thanksgiving travel, Goochland drivers are encouraged to fuel up locally before hitting the road. By filling up before traveling, drivers can begin their trip with peace of mind knowing their tanks are full, avoid the hassle of crowded stations, and give back to their community.

By fueling up in Goochland, drivers are not only supporting the local economy and businesses, but they are also helping to fund local transportation projects. Since the establishment of the Central Virginia Transportation Authority (CVTA) in 2020, 50% of the taxes collected from gasoline purchases are distributed back to the County to fund local transportation projects.

Gas purchased in Goochland County has helped to fund the Fairground Road Roundabout, Emergency Vehicle Preemption traffic signals, and more!
