[ARCHIVED] Parks and Recreation to Hold Third Community Connect Event

Master Plan Meeting

Goochland County Parks and Recreation invites the public to participate in the third Community Connect Event! This townhall-style gathering will provide participants with an update on the Parks and Recreation Master Plan process.

The Community Connect event will take place on July 14, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Central High Cultural and Educational Complex Eagle Theatre, located at 2748 Dogtown Road.

Participants will receive a presentation consisting of results from the parks and facility assessment and the community needs survey and will hear about the next steps of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan process. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to speak with project leaders, ask questions, and share their feedback for the project.

The Parks and Recreation Master Plan is a comprehensive planning project to guide the future development and enhancement of parks, trails, recreation facilities, and programs over the next 5-10 years. This plan will serve as a roadmap for the Parks and Recreation Department to meet the evolving needs of the community. It will identify priorities, address challenges, and outline strategies for providing high-quality recreational opportunities for all residents.
