VDOT Highway Alert

Below are the projects/events within Goochland County, the full list including other localities is available via the link below.


I-64 east/west near Ashland Rd./Rt. 623 - Special Event - September 15-17

 Expect possible delays around I-64 east/west near Ashland Rd./Rt. 623 (mm 173) from Noon Sept. 15 to 6 p.m. Sept. 17 for the Field Days of the Past event. More info: https://fielddayofthepast.net/


I-64 east - Pavement Markings - September 19
There will be mobile, alternating lane closures on I-64 east between mile markers 147 and 176 from 6:30 p.m. - 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 19 for pavement markings.


Rt. 288 south ramp to Tuckahoe Creek Parkway - Pavement Markings - September 17

The left lane will be closed on the Rt. 288 south ramp to Tuckahoe Creek Parkway from 9 p.m. - 5:30 a.m. Sept. 17 for pavement markings.


Rt. 288 north from the James River Bridge to Broad St. - Pothole Patching - September 19

There will be alternating lanes closed on Rt. 288 north from the James River Bridge to Broad St. from 8:30 p.m. - 11 p.m. on Sept. 19 for pothole patching.


U.S. 250 (Broad St.) west between Three Chopt Rd. and Ashland Rd. - Pavement Marking - September 17

There will be alternating lanes closed on U.S. 250 (Broad St.) west between Three Chopt Rd. and Ashland Rd. from 9 p.m. - 5:30 a.m. Sept. 17 for pavement marking.


One project within Powhatan County may impact individuals traveling to and from Goochland County on Maidens Rd. (Rt. 522) which is listed below.

Maidens Rd. (Rt. 522) - Road Widening - September 18-22

There will be alternating lanes closed on Maidens Rd. (Rt. 522) at Old River Trail from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. September 18-22 for road widening.
