The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will lift most lane closures on interstates and major roads from noon Friday, April 19 through noon Tuesday, April 23 to limit congestion and provide as many travel lanes as possible for holiday travelers.
Seven projects are planned that will impact travel in and to Goochland County. The full list of projects including other localities is available via the link below.
Route 288 south near Broad St. - Traffic sensor work - April 24 - 26
There will be alternating lanes closed on Route 288 south near Broad St. continuously from 6 p.m. April 24 to 2 a.m. April 26 for traffic sensor work.
I-64 between mms 147-174 - Landscape work - April 23
The left lane will be closed on I-64 between mile markers 147-174 from noon - 5 p.m. April 23 for landscape work.

The left lane will be closed on I-64 between mile markers 147-174 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. April 24 for landscape work.
Route 288 near the James River Bridge - Pothole patching - April 26
The left lane will be closed on Route 288 near the James River Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 26 for pothole patching.
I-64 between Route 288 (mm 175) and Shannon Hill (mm 148) - Pothole patching - April 26
The left lane will be closed on I-64 between Route 288 (mm 175) and Shannon Hill (mm 148) from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. April 26 for pothole patching.
Broad Street Rd. (Rt. 250) between Three Chopt Rd. and Cooley Rd. - Paving - April 24 - 26
There will be alternating lanes closed on Broad Street Rd. (Rt. 250) between Three Chopt Rd. and Cooley Rd. from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. on April 24 - 26 for paving.
Broad Street Rd. (Rt. 250) between Elpis Church Rd. and Oilville Rd. - Paving - April 24 - 26
There will be alternating lanes closed on Broad Street Rd. (Rt. 250) between Elpis Church Rd. and Oilville Rd. from 9 p.m. - 6 a.m. on April. 24 - 26 for paving.
