The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will lift most lane closures on interstates and major roads from noon Friday, April 19 through noon Tuesday, April 23 to limit congestion and provide as many travel lanes as possible for holiday travelers.
Six projects are planned that will impact travel in and to Goochland County. The full list of projects including other localities is available via the link below.
Route 288 between the James River Bridge and Broad St. - Pothole patching - April 30
There will be alternating lanes closed on Route 288 between the James River Bridge and Broad St. from 8:30 p.m. - 5:30 a.m. April 30 for pothole patching.
Route 288 south near Broad St. - Traffic sensor work - April 30 - May 3
There will be alternating lanes closed on Route 288 south near Broad St. continuously from 10 a.m. April 30 - 2 a.m. May 3 for traffic sensor work.
Sandy Hook Rd. (Rt. 522) between Poorhouse Rd. and Mill Trace Ln. - Paving - April 29 - May 3
There will be alternating lanes closed on Sandy Hook Rd. (Rt. 522) between Poorhouse Rd. and Mill Trace Ln. from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. April 29 - May 3 for paving.

There will be alternating lanes closed on Broad Street Rd. (Rt. 250) between Elpis Church Rd. and Oilville Rd. from 9 p.m. - 6 a.m. April 26 - May 1 for paving.
