Pursuant to Virginia Code § 15.2-1418, - hereby waive the requirements for five days’ notice of this emergency meeting of the Goochland County Board of Supervisors, being held Monday, March 23, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. in the Goochland County Administration Building, 1800 Sandy Hook Rd., Goochland.
The Governor has, on March 12, 2020 declared an emergency in Virginia and, on March 13, 2020, the Director of Emergency Management declared an emergency in Goochland County, both due to the existing public health crisis occasioned by the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The continuing public health emergency which makes it impractical and unsafe to assemble a quorum of the Board in a single location or to invite members of the public to attend the Board’s meeting.
As permitted pursuant to Virginia Code § 2.2-3708(G), this emergency meeting is being held with all members of the Board participating through electronic means. Public access is being made available through live streaming of this meeting at: http://www.goochlandva.us/926/Live-Stream
This Emergency Meeting is being held to address the existing emergency, including how operations of county government can continue while protecting the health, safety, and welfare of residents and employees to the extent practicable.
