[ARCHIVED] A Section of Johnson Road (Route 685) to Close for Culvert Rehabilitation in Goochland County

Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close a section of Johnson Road (Route 685) from 7 a.m. Monday, August 23 to approximately 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27 for a culvert rehabilitation.

Drivers are advised to use the following detour route: 

Northbound Johnson Rd. (Rt. 685): Take Quarry Hill Rd. (Johnson Rd. becomes Quarry Hill Rd.) south to Pouncey Tract Rd. (Rt. 271) north to Ashland Rd. (Rt. 623) west back to Johnson Rd. 

Southbound Johnson Rd. (Rt. 685): Take Ashland Rd. (Rt. 623) east to Pouncey Tract Rd. (Rt. 271) south to Quarry Hill Rd. north, which becomes Johnson Rd.  

Local property owners will have access to their property throughout the project.
