Acrylic Pour Paint Class

There is nothing more satisfying than creating abstract masterpieces while letting paint and gravity take control. In this class you will learn about color blending, paint, medium ratios, and different pouring styles to create your own fluid masterpiece. 

Ages 6-18 Saturday, September 11; 10:00-11:00am $35 CHS Rosenwald Room

Ages 18+ Saturday, September 11; 1:00-2:00pm $35 CHS Rosenwald Room

Acrylic Painting for Adults Ages 18+

Do you want to learn the basics of acrylic painting? Join Bee Kreative to learn how to paint with acrylic paints to create a seasonal work of art n a relaxed environment. Don't know how to paint? That's ok! This class is stress free with step by step instructions. Aprons and all materials are provided.

Saturday, September 11; 3:30-5:30pm $35 CHS Rosenwald Room


Hatha Yoga Ages 13+

Hatha yoga incorporates poses, breathing, and deep relaxation. Participants should bring their own mat. You can take one or both days a week. 

Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00pm-7:00pm  $60/one day a week OR $120/ two days a week GSC Aerobics Room


Art in the Park- Melted Crayons All ages welcome

Join this monthly class to unplug and get creative! Classes will be held at Hidden Rock Park if weather allows. Alternative location will be Central Cultural and Educational Complex. Parents are welcome to join the fun!

Body Awake Ages 13+

This class is designed to improve your flexibility and build muscle while gaining light cardio endurance. Stretch, strengthen, and cardio burnout will leave you feeling powerful and strong.

Thursdays, September 16-October 7; 2:00-2:45pm GSC Aerobics Room $60


Karate Ages 7+

Students will learn techniques including kicking, punching, blocking, sparring and partner work. Emphasis is on philosophy and discipline of the martial arts to increase students self-confidence and physical condition. This challenging program is for ages 7 through adults and will help participants lead a healthier life. ($25 one time Karate association fee taken at door for first time students.) You can take one or two days a week. 

Mondays and Thursdays, September 27-December 30; 6:30-8:00pm CHS Multi-use room $70/one night OR $100/two nights


Introduction to Tricks for Dogs Ages 18+

In this class teams will be introduced to trick training methods and fun ways to interact with their dogs. The focus will be on novice and intermediate tricks, applicable through both the AKC tricks program and Do More With Your Dog trick program. Teams can be tested and earn trick titles over the course of the session, as they are able and ready to do so. Class will be held at Central Cultural and Educational Complex.

Latin Ballet of Virginia- Fiesta Del Sol

The Latin Ballet of Virginia will present "Fiesta Del Sol", a performance celebrating the rhythms that influenced the music, dance, and history of Latino America. "Fiesta Del Sol" honors the native essence of Hispanic culture, demonstrating the great Native American, Spanish, and African influences that transformed Latino American culture into what it is today.

Watercolor for Beginners Ages 16+

Welcome to the wonderful world of Watercolor Painting! In this beginner class you will learn how to use watercolor pencils, paints and brush pens. All materials are provided!
