It is the seventh and final community meeting where citizens can learn about the Redistricting process, the Proposed Redistricting Map and provide public comments.   Public comments on the Proposed Redistricting Map are being accepted through February 1, 2022.

Residents and the community are encouraged to visit the Redistricting website at to learn more about the Redistricting process in Goochland, to view the Proposed Redistricting Map, see answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s), to see an interactive web application map with address search capabilities, and view more resources.   Recordings of the previous Redistricting Community Meetings are available at and at under “Community Meetings”.

Goochland County continues to welcome citizens’ comments and provides numerous ways to submit comments, while ensuring that everyone’s comments are shared with the community through the Redistricting website,  Citizens are encouraged to provide their comments online through a dedicated portal on the Redistricting website (, via email to, or by mail to Goochland County Administration, P.O. Box 10, Goochland, VA 23063.

The county is collecting public comments on the Proposed Redistricting Map through February 1, 2022. Then county staff will summarize the public comments and present them to the Board of Supervisors at a special meeting on February 22, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.  At that meeting, if the Board of Supervisors makes any changes to the Proposed Redistricting Map, a revised map will be created and posted to for an additional 15-day public comment period.

The Board of Supervisors plans to hold a public hearing on the final redistricting map on March 15, 2022 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the county’s Board Room, Room 250 of the County Administration Building at 1800 Sandy Hook Road.
