[ARCHIVED] Program of the Week: Hatha Yoga

Breathing, deep relaxation, and poses. That is Hatha Yoga. Instructor, Karen Kalyani Levitt, will lead guide you through a mindful hour each week. Get to know Kalyani!

Kalyani is E-RYT, Integral Yoga, Level 2 Reiki practitioner, CPR certified, Mindful Yoga Therapy for Veterans and Trauma, Scoliosis Certified. Kalyani’s classes combine the six branches of yoga so students can experience a complete range of benefits. Certified through Integral Yoga of Richmond with Nora Vimala Pozzi in 1999. Specialty trainings include Mindful Yoga Therapy for Veterans with Suzanne Manafort, Elyse Browning Miller’s Yoga for Scoliosis Program. She has conducted workshops “Yoga For The Low Back” , “Japa Yoga”, “Yoga for Nutrition” for Teacher Trainees as well as registered teachers so they could receive hours towards their certification.   She has been teaching yoga since 1999.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga incorporates poses, breathing, and deep relaxation. Participants should bring their own mat. This class will be held in the aerobics studio located at the Goochland Sports Complex (1800 Sandy Hook Road). There is no class on January 31.
