Learn about the biology of fungi, and mushroom
production with a focus on shiitake mushroom cul-
tivation on natural logs. Participants will try their
hand at shiitake log inoculation and can take a log
home to reap the rewards. Participants will also
learn about mushroom preparation, cooking and
preservation. Cost: $20.00 per person includes in-
formational material and supplies for the hands-on
activity.
Pre-registration is required. A minimum of 10
registrants to hold the program and a maximum of
25 registrants.
