As it provides an opportunity to learn more about the needs of our community and they look forward to participation from our local businesses and citizens.

Our region began the process of updating the multi-regional hazard mitigation plan in late 2020 and continued the process throughout 2021. This plan must be updated every five years. Goochland County has been involved in this effort, along with our regional partners, to make our community and region less vulnerable to natural disasters and manmade hazards. The goal of the meeting is to review the draft plan and regional and local mitigation actions that will reduce risks posed by natural hazards.
