You have to vote at your designated polling place. If you go to the wrong polling place you will be directed to the correct polling place which will lead to delays.

Voters are reminded about changes to five precinct polling place locations as part of the new 2022 Election Districts. For a full list of Electoral Voting Precincts and Polling Places by Districts along with Official Electoral District maps please CLICK HERE.

Same Day Registration
Did you not get Registered in time to meet the October 17 deadline?
Voters can now register to vote in person at the Registrar's Office, the Voter Satellite Office or at their Polling Place up to and including on Election Day!
You will be offered a Provisional Ballot at that time, but as long as your Registration is not denied for any reason your Provisional Ballot will be counted.
Returning Your Ballot
Voters can return voted ballots through three different methods: By mail, to drop off locations at the Office of the General Registrar and drop off ballots at polling places on Election Day.

Voted ballots can be returned by mail to P.O. Box 1013, Goochland, VA 23063. The last day to post mark a mail-in ballot is November 8, 2022.

Ballots can be returned to a drop off location at the Office of the General Registrar at 1876 Sandy Hook Rd, Goochland, VA 23063.

Drop off locations will also be available at all polling places on Election Day. Please visit the District Information page (https://www.goochlandva.us/562/District-Information) for a list of polling places addresses. If you are returning your ballot to a polling place on Election Day you do not have to wait in line. Please avoid the line and speak to an Election Official to turn in your voted ballot.

When returning a voted ballot, it must be in the ballot envelope with your name and address written legibly on the envelope and signed by the voter and a witness. Also, please return the ballot and ballot envelope using the return envelope provided by the Office of the General Registrar.
