Please pardon our dust! Citizens may notice contractors removing and replacing the trash hoppers and compactors at Goochland County’s Central Convenience Center, located at 1908 Hidden Rock Lane, starting on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023.
The County is switching companies that haul the trash from our Convenience Centers to the landfill disposal site, which is necessitating the replacement of equipment. The Central Convenience Center will remain fully open during this work and citizens should not experience any disruption in service.
The work was expected to take two to three days to complete, depending on weather conditions. Unfortunately, the work has been extended to the week of June 26th due to weather delays. Once it is complete citizens will notice new blue trash hoppers and compactors in place of the previous green ones. Similar work recently occurred at the County’s Western Convenience Center during the week of June 12th.
